Many people go their whole lives without knowing the meaning, I was fortunate to learn it as a young boy.
My house was full as a kid. It held me, five sisters, my mom, grandma, and uncle. Most people hear that and think it sounds too full, but it taught me a lesson I was lucky to learn young: family love is everything.
In high school, I spent summers working on local farms to keep myself busy and bring in extra income. My mom was a single working parent and though we had each other, we didn’t have a lot of things. Afterward, when I was stationed in Colorado for the Air Force, I made a point to always go back to Wisconsin (where my family lived) a couple times year and call often.
I finished my time in the Air Force, got married, and then became a REALTOR®. When I was 22 years old, my oldest daughter was born, and my world changed.
Although family had always been what I cherished most, I’d never known love like the love I have for my daughter. When she was six months old, she developed several symptoms that left the doctors puzzled. Eventually, they decided that they needed to perform a spinal tap. She was so small, and the procedure was extremely dangerous—but it was the only way to discover what exactly her illness was. I stood aside with my wife waiting to see if the liquid in the syringe came back cloudy or clear. I have never felt more helpless or more afraid, but it came back clear (a less severe diagnosis) and we breathed out after what felt like we’d been holding our breath for an eternity. We were again blessed when she made a full recovery.
One more daughter, a son, and several grandchildren later, along with my amazing wife, I still cherish family above all else. I’ve been fortunate to be there over the years through the holidays, sicknesses, football, baseball, and soccer games — I was there for every single one. I live a truly blessed life.
I’ve been a REALTOR® since 1979 and can’t imagine doing anything else. I also enjoy living in Colorado Springs. I’ve been in Colorado for most of my life and it is absolutely where I feel at home — the mountains, the hiking, the people — I love everything about it. Real estate is my passion and I still wake up excited to go to work every day. I care about each and every one of my clients, many who have become like extended family, and am committed to helping them and those they love to reach their dreams through real estate.
Whether you’re buying or selling a house, there’s a lot that goes into it especially if you want to come out on top. I’ve been doing this for 40+ years and I know how to get the job done. Not only do I know all the ins and outs, the ways to help your offer go through when no one else can, but I also have rapport with people in every part of the real estate industry from lenders to appraisers. Whether you’re buying your first home or your tenth investment property, I can help you. Not only that, but also I’ll still be around after the sale is over as I have for many of my clients, serving you and your loved ones as your lifelong intergenerational REALTOR®.
